CHAPTER NINE

GRIMM

Why I showed her this place was beyond me. I only knew I needed to erase the look in her eyes after I reminded her of our deal. It was most definitely an asshole move, but necessary, despite how things were changing between us.

And they were changing.

I wasn’t sure if it pissed me off for the shitstorm it would cause, or made me ecstatic for what could be with, essentially, the woman of my dreams. As strange as it was, I knew she was it for me if I decided to pursue her.

Either way, life sure as hell knew how to throw me a damn curve ball. The woman who put Angus in prison had me questioning everything.

Could we work? What would we look like to Angus, to my brothers? Did what they thought even matter to me? For the last eleven years, my life has been about nothing but the club. Was there even room for her in my life?

Gina had a heart of gold, despite her job, which I despised. She reminded me a lot of my mother. It was damn clear in the way she’d tried to protect my brother even when his sorry ass didn’t deserve it. Then the affection she had for her brother was even more telling. She was in big sister mode, just like I would have been if Colin or Amelia were missing.

Tonight, she needed this place, and so did I. We were getting ready to go through hell to find her brother, especially if the Bianchi Syndicate was involved.

I pulled my gaze away from the city below and focused on the woman in front of me. My chest tightened, and for the first time in my life, as I enjoyed watching her fall in love with my sacred space, I saw myself taking whatever this was further than I’d ever dreamed of with any other woman.

Her skirt rose and I ran my hands up and down her bare thighs, a contented sigh escaping her lips. As she gazed at me, the world stopped. The only thing that came to mind was perfect.

She scooted forward, and I hiked her loosely-fitted white skirt up a little more. I inched my hand underneath the billowy fabric and moved her lace panties to the side, finding her bundle of nerves.

“You are so beautiful, Gina. Especially when you come.”

Her laugh shifted to a moan as I worked her clit with perfection. Her body was so reactive to my touch. More receptive than any other woman I’d been with, or maybe I just didn’t give a fuck how any other woman had reacted to the way I’d touched her.

More likely, the latter.

She let her head fall back, closed her eyes, and pulled her lip between her teeth.

She was so fucking stunning. Thick long locs cascaded down her back, and moonlight shined on her dark skin. The way her lips parted while she enjoyed my touch caused something to stir inside me I’d never felt before. I refused to give a name to right now in fear of jinxing that shit because I wanted it.
